Support for Schools
First and foremost, we are classroom teachers passionate about evidence based reading instruction. Our mission is to teach learners to read, write and spell...for life. To support this we work with schools to help refine literacy teaching practices so that they are aligned to the Science of Reading. A by-product of this is improved school data (win!). We do not promote particular programs, rather, we look at how evidence-based approaches can be integrated into classrooms, while upskilling teachers by sharing resources and proven practices. The approaches we support have strong research behind them and are not expensive to implement, though professional learning is highly recommended. This is something we can also provide. We want to support teachers to see improved data across their classrooms, and schools to be able to promote inclusion in literacy. The basis of all our professional learning is the Science of Reading-the evidence base of how we learn to read and how best to teach reading. This body of evidence informs our professional practice and our professional development sessions.
