Service Description
School Ready Express – Group 1 Monday 12th January – Friday 16th January 2026 (children attend each day) 9:00-10:15am SailAway's School Ready Express Group 1 program is designed for children who are taking their first steps into reading. These learners are beginning to connect sounds and symbols and may: +Recognise letter names but not yet the sounds they represent +Hear some sounds but find it difficult to blend them into words +Be developing early word recognition and print awareness The program introduces a small, purposeful set of letters and sounds to help children build, read, and write simple words with confidence. Through interactive and engaging activities, children strengthen their phonological awareness—the foundation of early reading—by exploring: +Syllables +Rhyming words +Individual sounds in words +Fine motor strength to support pencil control and early writing and +Social skills such as turn-taking, cooperation, and confident participation Join us this summer to jump start your child's Prep journey!
